Oh, this is just too sad: The Disney Muppets
Ok, I know that the Henson family and friends did all they could to keep Jim Henson’s spirit and dreams alive, and had to calve off the Muppets to keep The Creature Shop going, but want are the chances of Disney completely stuffing up?
It is painfully obvious that Disney are no longer capable of producing original, funny, meaningful material. They stand as an exemplar of what can go horribly wrong when a creative organisation gets too big and loses it soul. It’s just so sad though that they will damage the intellectual properties they have acquired, by taking those elements that made the Muppets great, and burying them in a pile of bland pap.
