Safari Bug?


Wherein Robert eats a bad cookie.

I‘ve found something odd while building my test page, which includes a CSS style switcher which uses a cookie for persistence. When I access the file via file://..., the cookie doesn't get stored. If I turn on Apache and access it via http://localhost/... it works. This is a very strange thing. I re-read the standard, and everything looks ok, so I think it‘s an odd behavior of Safari, particularly since it doesn‘t show up with Camino. Thinking is in progress – I really don‘t want to run Apache until I have to.
