Mike Reddy has prepared a wonderful page about Medieval Beekeeping , or more correctly about Medieval and Tudor “Skeps”, for keeping bees in. Highly recommended. It’s also worth poking around his to-do list for a number of interesting pictures and cartoons, including what appears to be a reconstruction of a pre-industrial bee-keepers mask and suit.
