Fourteenth Century

Some shots of my 14th century gear from the time I was with Knights Order of Lion Rampant. This will be expanded later as other photos and negatives are scanned.

pattens Worn out after combat in the summer heat at a shopping center for a promotion for Age of Empires. After several defeats I slumped down, tore off my helmet, and tried to catch my breath.
pattens Transitional harness from around 1360, without a surcoat. This was also before I got around to lining the aventail (the mail on the helmet). This shot was one of my first Abbey performances, and a lovely wet day it was as well.
pattens Robert MacMorris in all his finery, complete with pole weapon. Brisbane Medieval Fayre in 1999, I believe, another wet day (hence the straw on the ground).
pattens About to be knighted by His Grace Falco St Cler at Abbey. Note that the bishop's "nephew" is holding close to dad's cope.
pattens One of the nicest activities while wearing harness is sitting down. Hay bales are perfect for this, because they're nicely soft.
